William Wilde II - Not what she guessed

II
“Hello Will.”
“Hello Diane.”
“Will, you look tired. Did you…”
“No. Not at all my dear, I’ve slept very well over these last few days and this is the first glass of wine today.”
“How could you sleep?”
“I can. That’s all. I don’t worry.”
“But…Will…”
As she was talking a tear dropped from her right eye. No one in the room saw. She had her back straight and was still carrying her hat in a way that no one would see her face. Only William saw that glimpse of light from her tear. Many more would come.
“I see in you evil, a terrible evil.”
“Yes Diane, you see. And everyone in the room should be terrified, but they aren’t. Look over my left side. Look at that men staring at your legs. He’s terrified of looking, neither way he keeps looking. And why?”
“I don’t know Will.”
“Mankind. More gore no bore. They love to suffer. And you know Diane? I love you. And that dear, that makes me suffer. ”
“Will we talk over this many, many times. I love you as well, but no one can hold for so long to your wishes.”
“My wishes? Do you know them? Do you really think you know them?”
She grabbed her glass and sipped the wine.
“Will, you want sex, money and power as every man.” - His lips trembled and he frowned his face. - “Am I wrong Will?
“So many time and you still don’t know what I want.”
“Oh Will, don’t make things difficult, you want what every man wants from me.”
“Really?”
“Really. I know.”
By the time they felt silent there was no wine in the bottle. Wilde was still smoking his Sobranie Cigarette. A Black Russian with a beautiful smell. Very different from the others in the house. Diane was waiting for him to pour some more wine in their glass, but seeing that Will was looking past her eyes, deep in her soul, she turned her eyes from him and reached for the bottle. Wilde with a quick gesture with his right hand took the bottle away from her reach even without taking his eyes away from her.
“Sadly from you, Diane, you really don’t know what I want.”
Silence.
“I don’t need sex, money or power dear.”
“Why Will? I could give everything to you.”
William laughed effusively and all the room turned their look to that reverberating laugh.
As he stopped laughing, he extinguished the cigarette in the ashtray by his left side, more than half was still in a good smoking condition. Then he leaned forward crossing his arms on the table and approaching her right ear he whispered:
“I already got them Diane.”
“What are you trying to say Will? You don’t need me anymore?”
“No, no, no. Not at all. I need you. I really need you. Could you please come with me now?”
“But Will you just opened this bottle of wine. It is expensive.”
“Don’t worry. A car is waiting in the corner for us. Do you mind?”
As he stood up he grabbed her delicate hand. It was cold. He took his umbrella and went to the exit followed by Diane. It was raining heavily, he opened his large umbrella and put his arm over her shoulder. She was almost as tall as him.
As he drove her to the corner a black car with black tinted windows approached. It was a Caddilac limousine. She entered after he opened the door and right next to Diane he entered the car and said:
“Do you really think that this date was just to give you a kiss dear?”
